Pot Chair – Fritz Hansen
Designed by Arne Jacobsen the pot was created at the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen in 1959.
This relaunch sees the improved comfort for users through the use of modern materials as well as the introduction of new playful fabrics. The low set lounge chair encases the individual who sits in it yet can remain discreet in any interior. Likewise, the new fabrics can make this beautiful piece a standalone item in various lounge settings. As with many of Arne Jacobsen designs he was strongly influenced by 50s design, also displayed in the Egg and the Swan which were created round the same period. The shape of the Pot Chair is the same as the original design from 1959. However, with improved comfort and durability the relaunch now widens it’s horizons from contemporary interiors to work and places of leisure. It is small yet embracive, it is modern yet timeless and it is an Arne Jacobsen original.

The Pot comes in an endless variety of fabrics – including 3 new and exclusive Fritz Hansen Colours – as well as leathers. The base comes in chrome or in dark brown powder coated steel.
