Home Interiors Inspiration: B&B Italia

If you’ve been considering refreshing your home or even investing in some new key pieces of furniture, this is sure to give you that much needed bit of encouragement. Or at least some inspiration…

03-03

This breathtaking home is filled with a mixture of B&B Italia’s latest designs and timeless products.  The above image displays the Tufty-Time 15 sofa – a subtle update of the original that was launched ten years ago.  The new textiles and kick pleat available give the sofa a slightly softer touch keeping the design effortlessly contemporary.

In the background you can also see the Grande Papilio outdoor which is identical to the indoor version but manufactured in the lighter materials of polyethylene and aluminium. This gives it a wicker look and is easier to move around your outdoor space.

08-08

Adding some yellow into an otherwise neutral colour scheme is a great way to brighten up any space – especially in this particular canary yellow shade which is developing as an interiors trend.  The Metropolitan ’14 chair above in the block colour ties in nicely with checked ottoman and the different patterns and textures of the rug.

10-10

This dining setting has quite a calm feel with the soft lines of the Link table and Vol Au Vent chairs.  The chairs are foam padded and designed for sustained comfort throughout a relaxed meal at the table.  They’re available in both fabric and leather and work well with a contemporary table such as the Link above, but also with something slightly more traditional such as the Athos from B&B Italia.

14-14

Create a calm and comfy retreat like this bedroom with the beautiful Husk bed.  Its prominent geometric frame will certainly make a statement, but keeping the colour fairly neutral allows it to remain soft and inviting.  The bed is paired nicely with the contrasting lines of the Husk side table that gives the setting a subtle edge.

17-17

The relatively new Husk collection is nicely offset by the inclusion of a B&B design classic – the Mart armchair.  Designed 10 years prior to the launch of the Husk collection, the Mart armchair with cross-shaped base retains just as much of its aesthetic attractiveness than when it was first launched.

21-21

This living space sticks to the neutral theme with the hints of yellow and wood.  The Husk sofa is in the same soft fabric as the Husk bed which is of course lovely – however if you wanted to try something a little more daring you could have the sofa in a darker colour which, if your setting is of similar colouring to this, would work equally as well. The JJ armchair is a lovely chair and can be softened with possibly a fur throw draped over it in the winter.
