09 Feb Stockholm Furniture and Light Fair 2018 – new products and trends
Where the freshest designs and trends come together, Stockholm Furniture and Light Fair is quickly becoming one of the top events for design lovers. The 68th edition took place just last week, highlighting the largest selection of Scandinavian design, and showcasing cutting-edge products from some of the biggest names in the industry.
Here is what we found:
Carl Hansen & Son – Preludia
A series of chairs, bar stools, tables and bar tables for public and private spaces. In collaboration with American designer Brad Alscalon, a modern and minimalistic aesthetic has been created.
Bla Station – GAP
Bla Station are renowned for their innovative and beautiful designs: and the Gap Table and Chair takes this to a whole new level! Both the Gap chair and the Gap table are easily stacked away when it’s time to make space or clean public places like cafes, restaurants, and conference areas. Ingenious minor details make the difference for maximum functionality.
Light Years – Caravaggio
Although not new in design, the curved silhouette and downward light is further accentuated with the introduction of four new tones – Dark Ultramarine, Dark Sienna, Warm Silk and Archipelago Stone. Each version brings warmth and subtlety to a chosen space.
Kasthall – Katja
Using a new unique 3D tuft technique to form the curly, frizzy surface, this wool carpet is high in volume and extremely stylish.
Gärsnäs – Colette sofa and easy chair
A striking series with prominent edging and opulent comfort. So charming is Colette that it is welcomed in both a home or a meeting room. 
Secto – Petite 4610 Floor Lamp
Characterised by its useful height and rotating shade, the Petite 4610 is a lovely companion for a reading chair or desk.
Lammhults – Carousel
“Maximum comfort in a compact format”. The Carousel conference chair is equipped with a 360° comfort tilt to give the seat shell multi-directional movement. Can be upholstered in leather or fabric with 4-feet or 5-feet swivel base, glides or casters – each element of design has thoroughly considered the user and the function. Making the ideal contemporary contract furniture for commercial environments.
