16 Oct Spotlight: Fritz Hansen

With the unveiling of the limited edition Egg™ chair and Jaime Hayon’s restoration of Arne Jacobsen’s original designs in the iconic SAS Royal Hotel, things have been particularly Fritzy of late. To tickle your Tangram fancy this week we thought we’d stick to this main theme but discuss a different Fritz-filled hotel (did someone say alliteration?)

Said hotel is the Clarion Hotel Energy in Stavanger, Norway.  The beautiful hotel only opened this year and has had a very enthusiastic response – but then again no wonder given its impeccable interior! Not many hotels can boast waiting areas kitted out in Egg™ and Swan™ chairs.

Moving up the hotel, the rooms do not disappoint.  Some of the rooms feature the timeless Ro™ chairs…

… while other guests are also treated to a Favn™ to lounge on.  Comfort? Check. Aesthetics? Double check.

And the Fritz theme doesn’t end there – oh no.  The restaurant area of the Norwegian hotel is completely decked out in upholstered Series 7™ chairs and Plano™ tables in that lovely soft oak.  Not without mention are of course the Romeo Louis II pendants from Flos adding some subtle lighting to the contemporary dining setting.

The Miniscule™ table and chairs combo and Rin™ chairs work well to create a more relaxed feel that’d be suitable for grabbing  lunch or enjoying a coffee…

Flos provides the lighting once more with their Tatou S pendants (Tangram favourite).

So, trip to Norway anyone…?
