Refreshed Showroom

The internet has completely changed consumer buying habits with many choosing to shop from the comfort of their home/office instead of physically visiting shops.  When it comes to purchasing items such as high-end furniture, however, it can be difficult to know you’re making the right choice without seeing the products in person.  That’s where we come in…

We’re fortunate enough to have a large showroom in Edinburgh City Centre in which we can have a variety of products on display for clients to come and look at to get a true appreciation of the quality they are investing in.  We recently decided to take it a step further and created room sets within our showroom.  We’ve built temporary walls to give clients the idea of how furniture would look within a room in their home!

As the exclusive Scottish retailer for B&B Italia and Maxalto, we chose these sister brands as our main room concepts.  The above setting is entirely Maxalto; a leading Italian brand  synonymous with luxurious contemporary furniture.  We worked alongside Maxalto to create a setting that reflects their current branding and best-selling products.

The piping of the Solatium sofa can be in the same fabric as the rest of the covers but can also create an elegant contrast like the one in our showroom.  The black piping seen above ties the sofa in nicely with the rest of the setting.  Flexible cold shaped polyurethane foam also means the Solatium molds to your body shape.  A firm yet very comfortable sofa.

The B&B Italia setting also displays some of the brands most recognisable products including the Charles sofa and Flat C shelving unit.  It’s a very crisp and contemporary setting – typical of B&B Italia styling.  The pared back fabric of the sofa and footstool contrasts nicely with the feature wallpaper and the back of the JJ chairs.

We’ve also got some lovely Montis products now on display.  The Axel sofa from the Dutch brand is often seen with a stainless steel sled base and can work well in both contract and residential environments.  We opted for the softer walnut base to create a home-like  setting alongside the Puk Low chair and Flint dining table.

Downstairs, we also have a dedicated Walter Knoll space!  To view more images of this space and read about the brand, visit our previous blog post Walter Knoll: Showroom Takeover.

Did you know that we have fabric and finish samples for all of our products?  So if you’re interested in certain products, you can come in and feel the texture of the fabrics or the finish of the wood.  Colours and textures on screen can often differ largely from how they are in person!

Drop into our Jeffrey Street showroom any time between 10am and 5pm Monday-Friday or make an appointment with one of our designers to receive free design advice and find out more about our interior design service in Scotland.
