29 Jun New Additions: Welcome Vitra and Santa & Cole!

We’re constantly reviewing the Tangram portfolio to ensure that our core principles are supported through the brands that we represent.  After our latest review we decided that there was room to expand our offering and have accepted invitations to become dealers for two great brands – the widely recognised Vitra and the Spanish independent editors, Santa & Cole.  Why these 2…?

Since the creation of the Swiss brand in 1950, Vitra has gone from strength to strength and now manufacturer some of the most widely recognised contemporary furniture products in the world.  Not only do Vitra continue to produce design classics such as the Eames lounge chair, but they also manufacture new, cutting edge designs such as the lovely Mariposa sofa seen below which was launched in Milan this year.

This classic/new design equilibrium makes Vitra a lovely fit for the Tangram portfolio  and we’re very much looking forward to working with them and incorporating products into both home interiors and commercial projects.  We’ve got a number of products on order for display in our showroom so stay tuned to find out when they’ve arrived!

Santa & Cole:  our other new addition.  You’re less likely to recognise their products instantaneously, however they are equally as brilliant.  The independent Spanish company are 30 years old and describe themselves as ‘editors’ of products that have been conceived by talented designers.  In their own words, they “consider, select, take a risk and finally offer products and services initially conceived in partnership with a good designer, for [their] contemporaries.” And the final products are pretty impressive…

The standard of lighting that is produced is particularly high, both in terms of their design aesthetic and quality.  Many of the products are extremely versatile and look great in both commercial interior design spaces and homes – such as the beautiful Cirio Múltiple seen below.  Whilst the main focus of the brand is lighting, Santa & Cole also produce some really interesting and functional pieces of furniture.
