Milan 2014: Tangram’s Top Five

3421 (2)

The Milan Furniture Fair has come and gone and, like every year, the Tangram Team has seen an overwhelming amount of fantastic new products. To keep it short and sweet, here are five of our faves – just the highlights!

3408Fritz Hansen | Drop Chair Originally designed by Arne Jacobsen exclusively for the SAS Hotel in Copenhagen in 1958, Fritz Hansen has now launched the Drop chair into full production, offering versions in plastic, fabric or leather. The Fritz Hansen team had to x-ray the existing chair to get the design – talk about retro!

B&B Italia | Husk Sofa Designed by Patricia Urquiola, this addition to the Husk family continues the trend of ultra comfort and style. Although it was the first Husk piece designed on paper, the technology was refined and perfected by creating the bed and armchair. As B&B Italia say, the Husk is “softness turned into a sofa.”

e15 | North lights Available as suspension, wall and floor lights, the new light designed by Eva Marguerre and Marcel Besau fits beautifully over a dining table or in a stairwell. Although e15 mainly produces timber products, these lights are a delight!

Andreu World | Pillow chair Designed by LievoreAltherrMolina, the Pillow chair family is available with or without arms. Either way, it works perfectly around any dining or conference table and is set apart from its contemporaries by beautifully shaped detailing on the legs.
3469Fritz Hansen | Analog table An absolutely beautiful, soft design by Jaime Hayon but unfortunately hard to describe in words. The table top has slightly faceted edges and the overall organic shape allows for optimal communication – offline communication that is, as the design emphasises the importance of face to face communication over technology.
Coming to the showroom later this year!
