24 Sep Best picks for contract projects from London Design Festival 2013
Last week Tangram visited the buzzing and inspiring London Design Festival. In addition to numerous exhibition spaces and events, we also had a chance to visit several of our favourite manufacturers’ showrooms and discover what is new and noteworthy in their product range.
Here is a selection of the top new contemporary contract furniture and the products that caught our attention. Every single one bringing something new and exciting to the table.
Peggy Workstation | SCP Contract
‘Peggy’ has potential to brighten up any office or meeting room. A wide range of shapes and sizes with built-in cable management makes it easy to specify for nearly any project , while its soft lines and angle of the timber support frame add character and style.
Quiet Riot screens and Mute sofa | Mitab
‘Quiet Riot’ is a new freestanding screen panel inspired by classic barricades. However, its two formats (landscape and portrait), sound absorbing qualities and customisable four fabric-covered panels allow a lot more expressive freedom and functionality.
The elegant and simple high-back ‘Mute’ sofa fits well into any interior; it is perfect for a quiet moment away from your desk in a noisy office.
The new ‘Jean 13’ sofa has been added to the B&B Italia Project collection and is a great alternative to the ‘AC Lounge‘ at a more competitive price. A sharp and classic piece with beautiful frame detail – the ‘Jean 13’ sofa will fit in almost anywhere.
Library sofa and Bloom table | Modus
Visually pleasing, the ‘Library’ sofa has a cocooning high back, which is built to reduce acoustics. It sits well in public spaces offering shelter and privacy. It is available in a wide range of fabrics and leathers.
‘Bloom’ is a family of elegantly engineered and balanced pedestal tables featuring a curvilinear waist at the foot of the stem. The option of combining bases, tops and finishes offers numerous possibilities of looks and functions.
